As you know I am a big fan of Timur Gareyev. I became friends with him after meeting him at a Chess Tournament in San Diego and asked him if I could interview him for my newseletter. I have an incredible amount of respect for him and what he is trying to accomplish with Blindfold Chess and furthering Chess Education with his Chess Academy C.A.T.
He plans to beat the Guinness world record for Blindfold Chess playing 50 boards simultaneously. Along with ICIM (International Chess Institute of the Midwest) a 503 (c), I am helping to organize this event and find funding. Please check out the website for this event. www.blindfoldchesschampion.com and DONATE if you want to be a part of our team. We hope to raise enough money to create an experience for everyone that is magical, entertaining and educational. We are also looking to partner with a University or Brain Center to provide brain challenging side events for everyone to participate in.
We are in the beginning stages of planning. If you would like to join our team and help make this happen, please email blindfoldchesschampion@gmail.com.
