Jennifer Vallens
My name is Jennifer Vallens. I am a marketing professional with a passion for anything creative. I founded OFF da ROOK Entertainment in 2013.
I run scholastic chess tournaments in Southern California. I serve on the Board of the (SCCF) Southern California Chess Federation, the Karppov International Chess School and Chess Journalists of America. I have several published articles in New In Chess and Chess Life magazine. I have organized several unique chess events including the Guinness World Record for Blindfold Chess and organizing the Chess Life cover featuring GM Timur Gareyev playing chess "in the air".
I fell in love with Maria's personality through her artwork. The vibrant colors and creative way she weaves chess positions into her work inspires me creatively. My goal is make YUGINA ART a household name!

Managed all facets of branding, publicity and marketing for GM Timur Gareyev 2013-present. This included logo design, website and social media development and maintenance, Public Relations, promotion and scheduling worldwide events. I organized all details up to and including Guinness World Record event for Blindfold Chess in 2016. I co-wrote feature article with Jay Stallings covering the event.
Wrote cover story for Chess Life Kids on how to play Blindfold Chess. 2017
Wrote cover story on the Challenges of Chess Parenting. 2018
Conceptualized idea and coordinated details for cover photoshoot.
Designed a chess variant game called 5 Card Chess which incorporates elements of Poker. Submitted idea for PokerStars competition and earned 2nd Place.
Published several articles in NEW IN CHESS including this one and "Is Blitz a Drug" and "Better Sleeper, Better Player..
